About Chelsey

I’m a 22-year-old recovering perfectionist who works as an administrative assistant.

I love music that makes me think, snuggling under the covers in the rain and getting a good deal at the grocery store.

I don’t like the sound silverware makes on metal and glass, walking around without shoes or being cold.

My favorite foods are chocolate, peanut butter and cheese. I also like chocolate mixed with peanut butter and peanut butter mixed with chocolate. I do not, however, like chocolate or peanut butter mixed with cheese.

At Marble Slab, I almost always get birthday cake ice cream with colored sprinkles mixed in, because I’m actually five years old.

I enjoy getting dressed up, but my favorite thing to wear is jeans, a favorite T-shirt, and a favorite long-sleeved T-shirt over top. I would wear this every day.

My family includes my mom, my dad, my younger sister AP (age 18) and my younger-younger sister DF (age 14).  At the end of July 2008, I moved back home to live with them after living 25 minutes away for four years.

Then there’s my boyfriend fiance, Christian. We’ve been dating since April 2006, got engaged in November 2008, and we’re getting married on April 18, 2009.

Above all, I’m a Christian. There’s nothing more important to me than obeying God and knowing Him more. I long to truly “taste and see that the Lord is good!”

Chelsey,
I saw your comment on Shannon’s Rocks in my Dryer post about wanting to hear from someone who met their future spouse online. I just wanted to tell you that I’ve been happily married to my husband for seven years this week and we met online. We now have a two year old daughter who we adore and we have a happy, blessed life.

Just wanted you to know it IS really possible! I feel the same way you do–I feel like I’m the only one–but I know I’m not and that it doesn’t matter. God brought us together and chose this unique way for some reason that I don’t need to understand, and I’m just happy that we did meet, no matter how it happened!
